We offer a Apex subscription for power user who want extra features like creating teams and unlimited cosmetics, but the core habit-tracking experience is 100% free.

No account needed to start! You can begin tracking habits immediately as a guest. Your data is saved securely, and you can claim your account later with just an email to sync across devices. We believe you shouldn’t have to hand over personal information just to try an app.

From the dashboard, click "New Challenge" and choose what habit you want to break (or build). Pick a focus, set your visibility preferences, and start tracking. Your streak begins from your first check-in.

Guest accounts are tied to your browser/device. Claimed accounts (free!) let you sign in from any device, add friends, and ensure your data is never lost. Claiming takes 30 seconds and just requires an email.

We believe in progress, not perfection. If you break a streak, your current streak resets but your total days and best streak are preserved forever. You keep all your XP, achievements, and progress. The goal is long-term change, not a guilt trip. Just start again – every day is a new opportunity.

Check-ins reset at midnight in your local timezone. You have until 11:59 PM to check in for the day. If you travel across timezones, the app uses your device's current timezone.

Absolutely! You can create as many challenges as you want. Many user track several related habits together (e.g., "No Smoking" + "Daily Exercise"). Each challenge has its own streak and progress.

Private challenges are visible only to you. Public challenges appear on leaderboards and can be seen by other user (great for accountability!). You can change visibility at any time in challenge settings.

Relapses are part of recovery – research shows most people don’t succeed on their first try. WithoutX tracks your total progress, not just current streaks. A relapse doesn’t erase the 30 days you already achieved. Log it honestly, learn from it, and keep going. Your brain is literally rewiring – that takes time.

Yes! Once you’ve completed a goal or want to take a break, you can archive any challenge from the challenge detail page. Archived challenges preserve all your history, streaks, and achievements. You can reactivate them anytime from the Archived section of your Challenges page.

Yes! Every challenge has a visual calendar showing all your check-ins. Green days mean you checked in, and you can click any day to see details like notes you wrote or your mood that day. It’s a great way to spot patterns in your journey.

Go to Friends in the sidebar and search by username. You can also share your profile link directly. Friends can see your public challenges and you can compare progress on the Friends leaderboard.

Teams are groups of people working toward similar goals. Team members can chat, share progress, and compete on the team leaderboard. Free users can create 1 private team with up to 10 members. Apex users can create unlimited public teams with unlimited members.

By default, private challenges are invisible to everyone. However, you can enable "Friends Can See Private Challenges" in your profile settings to share all your progress with friends while staying off public leaderboards.

Leaderboards rank user by total points earned from check-ins, achievements, and streaks. There are global leaderboards (all user), friends leaderboards (just your friends), and challenge leaderboards (comparing specific habits).

Yes! Both Android and iOS native apps are coming soon (approximately 2 weeks). The web app works great on mobile browsers in the meantime, and our native apps will support offline mode when released.

Our browser extension helps you stay accountable by blocking distracting websites, providing a panic button during urges, and letting you check in directly from your browser toolbar. Available for Chrome and other Chromium browsers.

Add the WithoutX bot to your server, then use /link to connect your Discord account to your WithoutX profile. Once linked, you can check in, view streaks, and get reminders directly in Discord.

Yes! Once you claim your account with an email, your data syncs across all devices. Use WithoutX on the web, browser extension, and Discord bot. Native mobile apps for Android and iOS are coming soon!

You earn XP by checking in daily (streak bonuses increase with longer streaks), unlocking achievements, completing milestones, and participating in team activities. XP contributes to your level and leaderboard position.

Achievements are badges you unlock by reaching milestones – like completing your first week, hitting a 30-day streak, or adding your first friend. Each achievement has a rarity (Common to Legendary) and grants bonus XP.

The shop lets you spend earned points on cosmetic items like profile borders, badges, card styles, and profile backgrounds. These are purely visual – no pay-to-win mechanics. Apex users get a 15% discount on all purchases AND 300 shop credits every month (spendable in shop only, does not affect leaderboard ranking).

Absolutely. Your challenges can be set to private (only you see them) or public (visible on leaderboards). We never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Yes. Go to your Profile settings and scroll to "Delete Account." This permanently removes all your data including challenges, streaks, achievements, team memberships, and personal information. Comments in teams are anonymized to preserve conversation context.

We collect only what’s necessary: email (if you claim), username, challenge data, and basic analytics. We don’t track your browsing history or sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes. You have full control over your data, can export it, and can request complete deletion at any time. We process data lawfully and transparently.

Apex unlocks: unlimited public teams with unlimited members (free users get 1 private team with 10 members), check-in photos to document your journey with a visual gallery, custom team URLs, 15% discount on all shop purchases, 300 shop credits every month (for cosmetics and power-ups only - does not affect leaderboard ranking), beautiful data export reports (HTML journey summaries with all your stats and achievements), and exclusive cosmetics. The core habit-tracking features remain free for everyone.

Your teams stay intact! However, if you had public teams, they become "visibility frozen" - existing members can still use them, but new users won't be able to discover or join them until you resubscribe. If your team exceeds 10 members, the team will be "member frozen" - no new members can join until you're under the limit or resubscribe. Your team data, challenges, and history are never deleted.

Yes! Cancel anytime from your profile settings. You’ll keep Apex access until the end of your billing period. No cancellation fees, no hassle.

We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay via Stripe. Payments are processed securely – we never see or store your card details.

We don’t offer partial refunds, but you can cancel anytime and keep access until your billing period ends. If you have billing issues, contact us within 48 hours of a charge.
